From Canada, we welcome MODERN BIOLOGY aka TARUN NAYAR who makes beautiful music using mushrooms & plants as an Instrument. Tarun uses a different approach to make music that sounds quite unlike anything else. With a background in Indian classical music and biology, he brings together home-built modular synthesizers and other analog equipment to improvise with the natural vibrations of a certain place and time – via plant bioelectricity, latent electromagnetic radiation and even the earth's resonant hum...
Joining Tarun on this journey through sound will be DRUM & LACE aka Sofia degli Alessandri-Hultquist. Sofi is an artist and composer from Florence, Italy. Her music has been described as having a "chameleon-like nature" melding together sampled field recordings, lush layers of synths, chamber instruments and electronic beats. She draws inspiration from film and nature to create textural electronica, often blending unlikely sounds with one another.
Our beautiful and very special indoor/outdoor venue, crafted from glass, is embraced by a sprawling, captivating wild garden and majestic trees. Easily accessible, just a short tube ride away from Kings Cross or Camden, immerse yourself in this enchanting setting...
